Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Oxbow intends to consider an amendment to its Council Procedures Bylaw No. 1074.
Purpose of the Amendment:
The proposed amendment is intended to update the scheduling of regular council meetings.
Reason for the Amendment:
The amendment is being considered to improve administrative efficiency, cost savings, flexibility through special meetings, regional and sector practice, and enhanced work-life balance and recruitment.
Key Changes Include:
Reducing the number of regular Council meetings from two (2) per month to one (1) per month.
Date of Consideration:
Council will consider the proposed bylaw amendment at its regular meeting to be held on April 20, 2026, at 6:30pm in Council Chambers located at 319 Main Street, Oxbow, SK.
Public Inspection:
The proposed amendment may be inspected by any person at the municipal office during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, excluding statutory holidays.

PUBLIC NOTICE March 30, 2026
Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, that the Town of Oxbow intends to adopt Bylaw 1167-2026, to amend Zoning Bylaw 1063 as hereinafter provided.
Intent
The proposed amendment would rezone a part of NW ¼ Section 24, Township 03, Range 02, W2, as shown on the attached Picture dated January 27, 2026, and referenced as “APPENDIX A”, which forms part of the Bylaw, from Future Urban Development – FUD to Residential Low-Density District – R1 to accommodate a future residential development.
Affected Land
The affected Land is legally described as NW ¼ Section 24, Township 03, Range 02, W2.
Reason
The reason for the amendment is to provide accommodation for a residential development.
Public Inspection
Any person may inspect the bylaw at the municipal office at 319 Main Street, Oxbow, S.K. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. The Proposed Bylaw and Map is available for viewing on the Town website at www.oxbow.ca.
Public Hearing
The council will hold a public hearing on April 20, at 6:30 p.m. at 319 Main Street, Oxbow, S.K. to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. The council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing.
