The Expressway Family Centre is a place for families to come together to interact, learn and have fun through a variety of programs. Our primary focus is to provide programming for positive family interaction and create strong community relationships. The majority of our programming targets families with children in the 0 - 6 age range but we also offered programs for older children and adults. Many of our programs are offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of our community and to grants from the Community Initiatives Fund and SaskLotteries.

The Oxbow Community Childcare Centre opened in June 2013 with 33 licensed and subsidized spaces. Children ages 18 months to 12 years are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment and are provided quality childcare and early learning experiences.

It is the philosophy of the Oxbow Community Childcare Centre that children are encouraged to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment.

We believe that quality childcare facilitates the healthy growth and development of the ‘whole’ child and that all children are different and unique.

We strive to create an enriched environment that reflects the children’s interests and supports the child’s holistic development, one that first engages then stimulates social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development.

We promote and encourage open and trusting relationships between families, educators, and children. We believe that parents/guardians and our educators are partners in the children’s care and early learning.

Our program is flexible and a wide variety of stimulating, open ended activities and materials are provided.

Is a non-profit organization that offers affordable and accessible childcare to school aged kids within our community. Their program runs out of the library from 3:15-6pm Monday- Friday. Staff will meet students at a designated meeting area and walk them to the library where they will have a healthy snack and participate in various activities.

Cost is $10/ day per child.

A scheduling link is posted on our Facebook page once a month to ensure we have enough staff.

We also offer a drop in option for $10/ day and this needs to be scheduled by 12pm for the day of care needed to ensure there is enough staff
