The Farmer's Market is open each Thursday in July and August from 5:00 to 7:00 selling freshly grown produce, homemade baking, locally grown meats, bedding plants and perennials and other home-based products.

Lions are groups of service-minded men and women who are interested in doing volunteer work to improve their communities. Membership is by invitation.  The Lion's Club is involved in many activities in the Town of Oxbow, supporting the Lion's Park.

The Oxbow & District Recreation Board Inc. is a board appointed by the Town of Oxbow and the RM of Enniskillen #3.  The Recreation Board is the umbrella group for the Oxbow Arena, Oxbow Swimming Pool, Oxbow Memorial Hall, Bow Valley Park and Ralph Allen Memorial Museum.  Each of the recreation facilities operates with a Facility Committee:

The Oxbow Arts and Cultural Committee (OACC) was established in 2011, with the goal being to bring more arts and culture to the area, as well as highlight and support the many local artists in their musical and artistic pursuits. It is comprised of a group of volunteers and hosts local art shows and events, musical concerts, and an annual music and arts jamboree, the Bow Valley Jamboree.

The Flower Committee is a volunteer group that takes responsibility for raising funds and planting the hanging flower baskets that grace the main streets within the community.

Beautification Committee

The Beautification Committee is responsible for the Pocket Park on Main Street, and the corner plantings on Main Street and Railway Avenue.

This organization started over 50 years ago with the purpose of assisting oil wives to meet other ladies and develop friendships. Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. This meeting includes supper and interesting and innovative activities. All ladies whose spouse works in the oil field are invited to join.

The Health Care Auxiliary has a long-standing history (more than 50 years) with both the National and Provincial Auxiliary Associations. Still very active today, the OHCA's main purpose is to raise monies to purchase or help purchase equipment for the Health Centre, provide comfort and support for the residents, and provide a scholarship to a student entering the medical profession.

The Legions meet every 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. September through June. Membership is open to anyone interested - contact any member. The Legion participates and organizes a Remembrance Day Poppy Campaign annually, holds regular bingos, and does various other community fundraisers.
